Turnout high in Eddy County despite dropping statewide

While voter turnout statewide experienced a significant drop for Tuesday’s general election, numbers were up in Eddy County.
Official tallies were not yet available as of press time, but the proof was at the polls, where Artesians stood in lines of varying lengths at the city’s three polling locations – Faith Baptist Church, the Eddy County Sub-Office, and the Senior Center – from the time voting began at 7 a.m. until it ended at 7 p.m. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
