Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at West Main Baptist Church for Wanda Louise Scott of Artesia.

Scott, 74, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at San Pedro Nursing Center.

Jason Kraft and Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Wanda was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Cook County, Texas, the daughter of J.C. and Alta (Martin) Walker. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

On April 26, 1963, she married Travis Scott in Artesia.

She was a bookkeeper, homemaker, and member of the Church of Christ. Wanda loved to cook and sew, and take care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include son Randy Scott and wife Leta of Artesia; daughter Pam DeHoyos and husband Rudy of Artesia; brother Bobby Walker of Artesia; sisters Vesta Youtsey of Artesia, Martha Morgan and husband Ed of Brownfield, Texas, and Treva Gist of Ruidoso; grandchildren Sara Hodge and Chad, Jessica White, and Codey Scott; great-grandchild Akaila Hodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Scott, on Nov. 14, 2007; her parents; and brothers-in-law Dwight Youtsey and Larry Parker.
