It has been reported that the wild horses removed from the Alto area by the New Mexico Livestock Board earlier this month have been returned to their Lincoln County home as of Tuesday.

Local resident Shelley McAlister prepared pens for the horses, who were delivered back to Alto with no warning or fanfare in order to minimize stress on the animals.
