Wal-Mart employees present a check in the amount of $3,000 to Artesia first responders as a donation toward local law enforcement’s annual Shop with a Hero campaign. “Events like Shop with a Hero wouuld not be possible without the generosity of its donors,” the Shop with a Hero Committee said. “Wal-Mart has been partnering with the program for many years as a donor and as a host of the event.” Each holiday season, Shop with a Hero pairs local children with officers, firefighters, EMTs, deputies and agents from a variety of law-enforcement branches for a pre-Christmas shopping spree that brightens the spirits of all involved.
