Compassion. That is certainly what this company is all about. On Wednesday afternoon, Gentiva Hospice employees attended a ribbon cutting ceremony in their honor, as they announced their official name change from Vista Care to Gentiva to the public. Hospice Specialist, Victoria Candelaria, said that nothing about the company has changed other than the name; all of the staff and great care services they offer have remained the same and they are still serving Artesia and all surrounding areas. The name change was made in June, and the company wanted to be sure to get the word out to the community.
Candelaria expressed her appreciation for the amazing team that works for Gentiva Hospice. Their team includes: Medical Directors, Expert Nurses, Social Workers, Spiritual Care Coordinators, Hospice Aides, and of course their ever-caring volunteers who have been specially trained for the field. Some of the staff present at the ceremony were Twilla Barnett, Manager of Volunteer Services, Donna Tavarez, Business Office Manager, Stacie Carroll, Admissions Coordinator, and Rose Page-Wissiup, R.N. of Artesia. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
