Tuesday’s meeting of the Artesia City Council began with the introduction of the Artesia Fire Department’s newest recruits, including firefighters Juan Moreno, of Carlsbad, Mark Edens, of Albuquerque, and Jesse Ochoa, of Carlsbad. Two other personnel were added to the department’s ranks but are not firefighters: Armando Lucero, of Roswell, and Andrew Sena, of Artesia. TriState CareFlight crew members Darrin Hamilton and Marla Hardy were also recognized.
