High school athletes from Artesia, Lake Arthur and Hagerman were able to receive free sports physicals for the 2014-15 school year Tuesday afternoon, courtesy of Artesia General Hospital.
A total of 439 students took advantage of the opportunity this year.
Thirteen AGH medical providers conducted the physicals as a community service outreach. This is the fifth year the hospital has offered the service. Sports physicals are performed to help identify any high-risk disorder or condition that might affect an athlete’s ability to play. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
