Artesia High School has designated a new student drop-off lane for parents and carpoolers in front of the school on Richardson Avenue. The lane was built to help ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians during the hectic times before and after school. Six new visitor parking spots in the parking lot located east of the school off of 10th Street have been added to make up for spaces lost in the addition of the new lane. The high school administration wished to thank Murry Avery, Doug Neel and the City of Artesia for helping to plan the new addition. (Ashley Trujillo – Daily Press)
