With the school year coming to a close, the 2013 Police Athletic League Artesia Junior Police Academy, hosted by the Artesia Police Department, is just around the corner.
“This is a very big part of what we like to call community policing,” Commander Lindell Smith of the APD said. “We want to build a strong relationship with everyone in the community and that certainly includes kids.
