Jamie Johnson, 19, of Artesia was arrested recently in connection with a residential burglary that occurred July 23 on the Lovington Highway.

Eddy County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the home of Kevin Rogers and Kelly Delong in Loco Hills July 23 in response to a burglary and found that the lock on the back door of the residence was forced open. Numerous items were reported to have been stolen, including jewelry, electronics and cash that were valued at approximately $6,000. Deputy Jesus Vazquez processed the scene while Deputy Ray Williams went to another residence in an attempt to locate a possible suspect.
