CARLSBAD — At approximately 2:45 p.m. Monday, June 3, the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported industrial accident at an oilfield location off of the WIPP access road east of Carlsbad.
Preliminary findings indicated 23-year-old David Duran of Artesia fell from an oil rig platform approximately 26 feet onto the ground.
