Above, keynote speaker Dr. Michael Mann, M.D., addresses the audience Friday at the Artesia High School Auditorium during the community’s Veterans’ Day ceremony. Mann, a board-certified general surgeon at Artesia General Hospital whose years of experience include extensive work with the U.S. Air Force, both domestically and abroad, spoke on the importance of Veterans’ Day and honoring those who serve our country. The ceremony also included a performance by the Artesia Public Schools’ third-graders and the Artesia High School trumpet ensemble and choir.
