Artesians turn out to view Gray tribute car

Artesians turned out in droves Wednesday afternoon to The Derrick Floor park to meet Pitch Energy funny car driver and former Artesia resident Johnny Gray and view his Don Schumacher Racing Dodge Charger R/T, which features an image of his late father, John R. Gray.
Gray and his Pitch Energy – an offspring of Marbob named for John R. Gray’s favorite card game, pitch – crew spoke to fans, signed autographs and sold merchandise, the proceeds of which will be donated to Grammy’s House. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
