Artesia’s first ever Internet Safety Night was held Monday at Artesia (Zia) Intermediate School.
Internet Safety Night is a nationwide program that was established by PTO Today to promote internet safety for children and to get parents involved in their children’s virtual world. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
Zia PTO president Eugene Irby felt this was an important program and wanted to start it up in Artesia.
“I received an email from PTO Today which gives you ideas to do in your own school such as science night or movie night,” Irby said. “One thing that stuck out to me was the Internet Safety Night. We have never done anything like that in this town before.
