Battle of the Bands benefit set for Saturday

A Battle of the Bands Benefit will be held from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Hotel Artesia for Artesia resident Jimmy Allison.
Allison and wife Kim have been at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Ariz., since December as he battles cancer and awaits a donor.
Allison’s good friends turned event coordinators Greg Spain and Rusty Smith will turn up the volume all day Saturday under the big tent outside Hotel Artesia. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
