Orders on Brunson’s custom boots backed up for an entire year

David Brunson knows how to please a shoe enthusiast.
Those in the market for a pair of custom boots from the seasoned boot maker, who has been in business at Brunson Boots since 1983, are prepared to wait up to an entire year to slide their feet into a pair.
Customers don’t mind spending substantial cash, either. The specialty shoes begin at $575.
“The custom boot business is a different animal,” Brunson, whose business also extends to shoe repair, said as he showed off the pair of pricey elephant skin boots he is currently working on.
“Customers want good quality that will really last. They want it to be exactly as they want it — their style, their concept.”
