Artesia High School football fans are asked to note this year’s pre-season scrimmage schedule will be a bit different than in years past.

This year’s intrasquad scrimmage and a Meet the Bulldogs event will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Bulldog Bowl, and the Quarterback Club’s annual Hamburger Fry will be conducted that same evening.

Typically, the Fry accompanies the ‘Dogs’ intermural scrimmage against Onate, but Artesia will not be squaring off against the Knights this year. Instead, the Bulldogs will head to Albuquerque Aug. 13 for an intermural against La Cueva. The Bears will reciprocate by travelling to Artesia in 2019.

The junior varsity will hold a scrimmage to precede the varsity event at 3 p.m. Aug. 9.

Tickets to the Hamburger Fry are available now from any Quarterback Club member for $5 each. Tickets will also be sold at the scrimmage.

The ‘Dogs began two-a-days workouts Monday.
