Candidate filing for the June 4 Primary Election and Nov. 5 General Election closed last week in Eddy County, with the following candidates having filed for county-level seats:

  • County Sheriff: Matthew Todd Hutchinson (R); Victor E. Martinez Jr. (R); Andrew G. Kennedy (L)
  • County Commissioner, District 2: Hayley Klein (R)
  • County Commissioner, District 3: Philip John Troost (R); Justin D. Wilson (R)
  • County Commissioner, District 5: Sarah Marie Cordova (D, incumbent)
  • County Treasurer: Patricia H. Carrasco (R)
    The following candidates have filed for national- and state-level seats:
  • U.S. Senator: Martin Heinrich (D, incumbent); Nella Louise Domenici (R); Manuel “Manny” Gonzales III (R)
