Carolee Bullen

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at First Presbyterian Church for Carolee Bullen of Artesia.

Bullen, 89, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Good Life Senior Living.

Rev. Daniel Phelps will officiate the services. Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Carolee was born Oct. 24, 1928, in Alamosa, Colo., the daughter of Carrol and Francis (Roberts) McEnany.

On July 30, 1950, she married Glenn Ray Bullen in Provo, Utah, and the couple came to Artesia in August 1989 from Hobbs.

Carolee was a high school counselor and held a master’s degree in psychology. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Phi Beta Kappa at Denver University, A.Q. P.E.O., and Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. She loved to read, play bridge, and spend time with friends and family.

Survivors include daughter Janie White and husband Stephen of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren Jason Paul White, Jeannine Rogers and husband Ben, Kandice Duncan and husband Ross, Carrie Covin and husband Jacob, Coleen Chavez and husband Berto, and Haley Bullen; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Bullen, on July 12, 1995; her parents; sons James Lloyd Bullen and Thomas Glenn Bullen; and sister Helen Anne McEnany.
