
Below, members of the Artesia High School Class of 2014 receiving Chase Scholarships participate in a time management workshop presented by Dr. Walter Bradley, a professor at Baylor University, Monday morning as part of an orientation presented to the students by the Chase Foundation. The opening day of the event was filled with motivational speeches, lessons on personal and business ethics, workbook lessons on time management, and strategic success and leadership techniques. Above, Corey Ciochetti, an associate professor at the University of Denver, speaks with attendee Travis Rawson. Congressman Steve Pearce spoke to students on making tough decisions while learning to stand up for themselves, and John Beede, adventurer and motivational speaker, left the students in awe with his stories and encouragement to excel at the highest level of performance despite doubt and fear.
