VETS DAY wall crowd could work if cropped

The City of Artesia held its second Veterans’ Day service at Baish Veterans’ Park outside of City Hall Monday morning, with a crowd of more than 200 visitors.

This year, two walls were added to the Wall of Honor containing 300 additional names of area veterans. Combined, there are now 900 veterans listed on the walls outside City Hall, and there is room for more. Beginning Jan. 1, 2014, Artesia MainStreet will be accepting applications from area veterans who wish to have their names added by next year’s ceremony. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
