The Eddy County Commission approved its budget today for the next fiscal year, with county roads receiving much of the county’s attention. More than $9 million will be attributed to the Road Department next year.
The county’s indigent care fund, used to subsidize medical care for those who can’t afford it, has been set at more than $4 million, and there is expected to be more than $40 million available from the county’s general fund to allocate between county projects. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
