Artesia Mayor Phillip Burch attended a meeting in Roswell this month for what is being referred to as the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) coalition. The group, which includes Roswell’s MISTIC Inc., is spearheading a prospective UAS industry in Roswell that may eventually include the City of Artesia.
“In five years, the industry is going to be like a household name, like the Internet companies when they first started,” Burch said. “There are certainly a few implications for law enforcement in this field and possibly for EMS and fire services, as well.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
