County Commission rebids pharmaceutical contract

The Eddy County Board of Commissioners voted to rebid for pharmaceutical services for the Eddy County Detention Center due to deficiencies in the current Request for Proposal during Tuesday’s commission meeting.

County Manager Allen Sartin explained the original RFP for bid B-11-16 did not include specific information on pricing or language for miscellaneous, value-adding services. Without the additional information, Sartin believes bidders did not have the same information when submitting bids. Sartin explained it was an accident the additional information was not included.

“Pricing, in particular, I feel was not done in a fair manner,” Sartin said. “It may come back with the same results, but I want something that is defensible.” … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
