ARTESIA — The Artesia Daily Press picked up five awards Saturday at the New Mexico Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest banquet.
The banquet was held during the 114th Annual NMPA Convention. The contest was judged by the Arizona Newspaper Association.
The Daily Press’ awards included:
• Sportswriting: 1st place, Brienne Green
• Sportswriting: 2nd Place, Brienne Green
• Feature Writing: 2nd Place, Brienne Green
• Photo Series: 2nd Place, Jessica Addington
• Sports Photo: 2nd Place, Jennifer Palma
