Francisco M. Garcia, 25, of Dexter, pleaded no contest this week to possession of 1-8 ounces of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids.

Artesia Police Department Cpl. Greg Hall stopped a four-door sedan at the intersection of Champ Clark Avenue and First Street Friday night when he observed Garcia, the driver, traveling at 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.
