Eddy County is growing, and County Assessor Karen Robinson wants you to know it.
During her annual report presented to the Eddy County Commission on Tuesday morning, Robinson said that Eddy County’s total value increased from $5.09 billion in 2011 to $5.66 billion in 2012.
“It gives me cold chills because I can remember when we were only at $1 billion,” Robinson said. “In this year alone, in values, in building and in what we’ve got, we grew by $573 million in values in the county. We are expanding.”
Robinson said that the overall expansion “may not be obvious when you’re driving down the street because it’s in a lot of areas you don’t typically see,” but the county assessor said that it’s very evident from her office. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
