Yeso Elementary School students served up hot chocolate and biscochitos Tuesday during the school’s annual Luminarias and Literacy event. Thunderbird fourth-graders worked hard to set up luminarias around the schoolyard, including configurations that spelled out the school’s name and featured the mascot and New Mexico Zia symbol. Students, families and guests were able to enjoy refreshments, Christmas music and the warm, glowing lights, with each family also receiving a New Mexico-themed book.
