The Artesia Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting...
From left, DeShea Hanagan, Kayli Lynch, Cade Hall, Lane Waldrop, Samantha Torrez and Trey Yates were in attendance this morning as representatives of the FFA as Mayor Phillip Burch declared Feb. 18–25 FFA Week in Artesia. According to the proclamation, FFA and agricultural education provide a strong foundation for the youth of America and the future of the food, fiber and natural resource systems. As their motto suggests — “learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, living to serve” — FFA promotes leadership, personal growth and career success among its members. Agriculture education and FFA ensure a steady supply of young professionals to meet the growing demands in the science, business and technology of agriculture. Rob Larson – Daily Press
