ARTESIA — Habitat for Humanity of Artesia will hold a fundraiser from noon – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Cottonwood Winery.
The fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the winery’s Time-Change Cook-Off and is an annual event for Habitat for Humanity of Artesia.
Last year, a little more than $12,000 was raised at the event, and the affiliate hopes to raise even more this year. The money will go toward building the eighth Artesia Habitat house and the purchase of tools. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
Habitat for Humanity of Artesia is a Christian organization that helps low-income families build homes of their own. The affiliate is approximately 75-percent dependent on donations from individuals, businesses, churches, community organizations, corporations and fundraisers.
