Sixteen-year old Hagerman student, Kathy Hollmann has been participating in Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) events since the age of seven. She’s been competing in Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association (CMSA) events since the age of 10.
All that work has clearly paid off, as Hollmann is now a world champion. Hollmann beat out her father Jim, along with a number of other top male competitors, to win the SASS World Title in Edgewood, N.M. last month. She is the third woman to ever win a mounted-shooting world title.
