The New Mexico Department of Transportation has begun asphalt milling and resurfacing operations at Richey Avenue and U.S. 285. The project is anticipated to be completed by June 21 and will extend from Richey Avenue and 285 to Mill Road and from the Lake Arthur Highway to Compress Road. Traffic speeds will be reduced to 35 mph in the work zone on Richey Avenue and to 40 mph in the work zone on U.S. 285. Travel will be reduced to one lane in each direction during working hours, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
