A stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of an Artesia man and the lockdown of a school.

22-year-old David Rosales was arrested, Wednesday, after police responded to the 1200 block of West Washington Avenue in reference to a stabbing that occurred around 4 p.m.

According to the report, officers responded to the scene after a nearby resident reported they had witnessed a fight between Rosales and the victim.

The witness reported they were on the front porch of their residence when they witnessed Rosales, who lives next door to the witness, “yelling and cussing” at the victim. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
