According to initial reports from the Artesia Police Department, Bella Cruz, a local shop located at 511 S. 13th St., was burglarized early Tuesday.
Commander Lindell Smith of the APD said police became aware of the incident at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. The owner reported a number of items missing, including some jewelry, purses and Bible covers. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
The criminals entered “by defeating the locking mechanism,” according to Smith. The scene was immediately processed by the APD’s burglary team.
On Tuesday of last week, the APD also became aware of two other commercial burglaries that took place at Hobo’s Meat and Bread Shop and Nelle’s Floral.
