Jessica Sanchez, head of the English Department at Artesia (Park) Junior High School, is opening up the world to Artesia students.
Sanchez spent Feb. 14-18 in Paris, France, training to be a chaperone for Artesia High School students who will be going to England this summer. The training was sponsored by Educational Tours (EF Tours) to ensure that Artesia students receive the maximum benefit from their experience. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
“Only by traveling can you really learn what it’s like,” said Sanchez, still beaming from her experience. “There is so much to learn. The events and people you read about in the books, such as the Treaty of Versailles, Louie XIV, Marie Antoinette, all become real.”
