Michael L. Perez, 27, of Artesia was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of escaping from police custody, larceny, failure to appear in court, and aggravated battery against a household member. The charges all stem from an incident that took place last month.Artesia Police Department Officer Robert Smith arrived April 7 at an address on West Mann Avenue in reference to domestic battery.
