ARTESIA — New Mexico State Police say none of the multiple individuals suffering injuries in Tuesday’s multi-vehicle wreck at 26th Street and U.S. 285 were seriously hurt.
Immense clouds of blowing dirt – the result of Tuesday’s high winds, which reached gusts of 68 mph – rendered visibility zero on portions of the highway and other roadways north of town and was listed as the direct cause of the accident.
