Alonzo Amaya Meza, 29, of Artesia, found guilty of use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under one ounce. Sentenced to 364 days of supervised probation. Total fines and fees $526.
Joel Ortiz, 38, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pre—trial conference on charges of aggravated DWI and failure to maintain traffic lane.

Sept. 16

David M. Melendrez, 23, of Carlsbad, scheduled to appear for non—jury trial on charges of driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Sept. 4

Matthew Millican, 33, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pre—trial conference on charges of battery upon a household member.

Sept. 16

Juan Manuel Esquibel III, of Artesia, found guilty of interference with communications. Sentenced to 90 days’ confinement. Total fines and fees $123. Esquibel also scheduled for sentencing on charges of injuring or tampering with a motor vehicle.

Aug. 21

Estevan Munoz, 32, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on charges of breaking and entering.

Aug. 19

Steven R. Castillo, 51, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on charges of disorderly conduct, battery upon healthcare personnel, and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.

David William Cosgray, 53, of Carlsbad, scheduled to appear for pre—trial conference on charges of driving on a revoked license.

Sept. 9

Darrell Cartwright, 43, of Artesia, found guilty of driving on a revoked license and expired registration. Sentenced to four days’ confinement. Total fines and fees $517.

Charges of failure to pay fines of $173 against Richard F. Salmon Jr., of Artesia, were offset by community service and three days’ confinement.
Jennifer R. (Benavides) Peterson, 30, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for preliminary hearing on charges of seven counts of embezzlement.

Sept. 9

Chad Eric Anderson, 34, of Carlsbad, scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Sept. 9 on charges of larceny (more than $500 but not more than $2,500).

Leticia Recio, 33, of Artesia, scheduled to appear for pretrial conference on charges of driving on a suspended license, no proof of insurance, and expired registration.

Sept. 16

Recio was sentenced to 30 days’ confinement and $692 in fines and fees on separate charges of driving on suspended license and no proof of insurance.
