An Artesia man was arrested, Friday night, after his vehicle was allegedly involved in an accident with at least three other vehicles.

Michael Perez, 24, was arrested at the 2100 block of West Centre Avenue after police responded to a call in reference to an accident in the area at around 11 p.m.

According to the report, Perez claimed he was not the driver of the vehicle and, the driver, whose name Perez did not know, had exited the vehicle through the rear driver’s side door and fled the scene.

The arresting officer stated that observers, who had come out of their houses immediately following the accident, did not see anyone fleeing the scene. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
