A two-vehicle accident took place Thursday morning at the intersection of First and Main streets. A black semi truck owned by Hanson Trucking Inc. of Roosevelt, Utah, rear-ended a gold Park Avenue Buick just after 10:30 a.m. The Buick was in motion and reportedly stopped abruptly, causing the semi to hit and then propel the Buick further into the lane. The woman driving the Buick suffered back and neck injuries and was placed on a gurney and taken to Artesia General Hospital.
