Combining her love of children with helping children to speak clearly is a passion for Molly Smith, Artesia Public Schools’ new speech therapist at Yucca Elementary School.

Originally from Abilene, Texas, and more recently from Oklahoma City, Okla., Smith and her husband moved to Artesia this past July. Smith stated moving to the town has been an easy transition.
“Artesia is great,” she said. “It was easy to adapt here. Everyone is friendly and made us feel at home.”
Smith graduated from Texas Tech University Health and Science Center in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.
