For David and Vickie Grousnick, what began in 2012 as a simple desire to provide Artesians with a fun summer activity has taken on a life of its own.
The Second Annual Tate Branch Auto Group Smokin’ on the Pecos State BBQ Championship – sanctioned by both the Kansas City Barbeque Society and the Rocky Mountain BBQ Association – is swiftly morphing into the state’s premier barbecue cookoff and is making a name for itself on the national scene, as well. When the gates open to the public Friday, June 28, at the Eddy County Fairgrounds, they will open on an event that has essentially quadrupled in size and scope in the span of just one short year. … For the rest of the story, subscribe in print and on the web.
