Juli Thurman Newton, art teacher at Artesia (Zia) Intermediate School, instructed her students this past semester to paint pieces of canvas that, when put together like a puzzle, made a large mural. The mural is now displayed in one of the school’s hallways. “I’m proud of my seventh graders,” Newton said. “They worked very hard and were pleased to be able to add color and art to our school.” Elizabeth Lewis – Daily Press
