Road closed signs were in place this morning as construction began in the southbound lanes of U.S. 285 on the new stoplight to be installed at the intersection of First Street and Richey Avenue. The State of New Mexico Department of Transportation is working to install the light as Southwest Railroad rebuilds the crossing on the east portion of Richey.
