ARTESIA — The City of Artesia is scheduled to begin work Thursday in the following areas as part of its Street Maintenance Project. Work in these areas will continue through Friday, Nov. 4.

  • Fifth Street from Main Street south to Park Avenue.
  • Sixth Street from Quay Avenue south to Park Avenue.
  • Eighth Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • Ninth Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • 10th Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • 11th Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • 12th Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • 14th Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • 15th Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • Osborn Street from Main Street north to Chisum Avenue.
  • Merchant Avenue from 11th Street west to 14th Street.
  • Texas Avenue from Seventh Street west to 10th Street.

Homeowners in these areas are asked to make sure their vehicles are not parked on the street and their sprinklers are off from 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Vehicles left in the street will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Motorists are also asked to abide by the closures and drive safely around road crews.
