The Artesia Arts Council conducts the annual movie series, which offers Artesians an evening of entertainment in the attractive outdoor setting of the walkway. The movie, shown on a now-permanent projector screen purchased by Artesia MainStreet, and popcorn are free, and attendees need only bring a lawn chair and a drink. This year’s series is a mix of classic and 1980s films. Today’s 8:15 p.m. showing will feature the 1989 comedy “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
