Brittany N. Ornelas, 22, of Artesia, has been charged in an incident Thursday that left an elderly couple terrified when she allegedly attempted to rob them at knifepoint.
Officer Chantel Longway of the Artesia Police Department was dispatched Thursday to an Artesia residence in reference to a third-party request for help. When she arrived, the officer reportedly saw Ornelas dragging a man away from the doorway of the residence.
