Erin Smith, Senior Donor Recruitment Representative, said United Blood Services typically makes two stops in Artesia every month. She also said all the blood donated will stay local, remaining in either Artesia or travelling to Carlsbad. “The main thing is that the need for blood product never goes away,” Smith said. “The hospital here uses it every single day, so we really rely on the local communities coming out and supporting us as much as possible.” Rob Larson - Daily Press
