Motorists in the area of South Second Street were alarmed Monday to see Artesia Police Department officers converging on a home in the 800 block. The officers were there to serve outstanding warrants for Mark Velasquez, whose charges included domestic violence and failure to appear. Velasquez was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
