Services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Henry Lopez.

Lopez, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Morales, Antonio Ruiz, Diego Lopez, Joshua Lopez, Jonny Escoto and Eloy Aguirre.

Henry was born May 7, 1954, in Artesia, the son of Encarnacion and Stefana Lopez.

He worked as a counselor for the juvenile detention center and at the mill office until retirement. He also had a deep love for Tejano music and played his guitar for a band.

He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Lopez; daughter Janett Lopez and husband Antonio Ruiz; son Marcos Lopez and wife Ana; sister Mary Helen; brother Carlos; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved grandchildren, Yanelly, Ethan, Alexy, Ariah, Diego, Annette, Adrianna, Charlie, Joshua and Alleah.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Encarnacion and Stefana Lopez; and nephew Joel Aguirre.
